The Little Dooey Barbeque & Blues restaurant features an exclusive menu of high-quality barbeque cuisine based on traditional recipes and one-of-a-kind sauces born in eastern Mississippi.

Originating in Starkville, Mississippi, The Little Dooey™ has become the most popular barbeque destination in the region, attracting regular, local diners and guests from all over the country. The menu was created around the time-honored recipes and sauces of the founders, Barry and Margaret Ann Wood. The name for the restaurant is also a Wood Family tradition where “a little dooey” means a fun gathering of friends and family.

The Wood’s began The Little Dooey™ in 1985, by serving their homemade barbeque and sauce at a local service station. The response from customers was overwhelming, and soon the growing local demand for their delicious food prompted them to open the first restaurant in Starkville which became an instant success. The Wood’s credit their accomplishments to their family, friends and dedicated staff who set The Little Dooey™ apart, making it a comfortable and fun place to eat.

After 20 years of serving great barbeque, the idea to franchise The Little Dooey™ on a national basis has become a reality. LDQ, LLC has developed a franchise program for The Little Dooey Barbeque & Blues™, which adds a new twist to the original concept by adding an upscale atmosphere and décor package and introducing a Blues music entertainment theme.

LDQ, LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company, is the exclusive franchisor of The Little Dooey Barbeque & Blues™ concept, and manages the franchise system as well as the manufacture, distribution and retail sales of The Little Dooey™ line of bottled hot and mild barbeque sauces. LDQ, LLC assists all franchisees in the areas of building and maintaining a successful franchise by providing support in real estate, construction, franchise operations, purchasing, marketing, research and development, finance and training.
